hello, happy spring!!!
We’ve survived the gloomiest of months, with long balmy evenings on the horizon. I’d like to say I’m living in a bubble of pure happiness but unfortunately, I’d be lying. The burnout has struck me like a dagger to the chest and I am EXHAUSTED.
Silver linings: somehow I’ve been scraping through my full-time master’s degree and still functioning — yippee!
So without further ado…
doing & watching 📺
watching narcos mexico - The Mexico hyper-fixation is still going strong, but now I’ve moved onto watching the popular Netflix series. Might have to re-watch the original Narcos next, we’ll screen how my screen time is looking.
visiting lisbon - the main exciting thing from this month was me and my sister’s trip to lisboa! The city has been on my list for a while now; it felt like everyone and their nan was visiting a few years back. Anyway, it was sunny, colourful and all-around charming. My full guide is landing soooooooon
new haim song - Babe! Wake Up! Dump your boyfriend! It’s almost summer and a new haim song has dropped.
spending 💸
trusted house sitters - It came back around to the time of year when I had to decide if I wanted to renew my membership. This year alone I have spent a week cat-sitting in North London, allowing me to stay in the city for free without having to crash on my sister’s sofa - so safe to say if I use it, it is a solid return on investment. I need to also try and do another sit further afield this year, I’d love to travel to Scotland in the summertime.
hair cut - There are a few things which I’ve realised are non-negotiable expenditures for remaining sane as an adult woman. Regular haircuts, new trainers and perfume are my top three. If I leave it too long between haircuts I end up reverting to a scruffy teenager, which isn’t a good look when you’re nearer 30 than 20.

Marques is one of my favorite authors! If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend the 100 Years of Solitude show on Netflix.
